Smartshot Pictures was founded in 2008, by director Marie-Christine Laflamme. It was always her dream to start her own production house, she can now direct and produce her own projects and for others.
After a one year filmmaking program in London, United Kingdom, Marie-Christine went back to Canada and started her professional career in Montreal, with the launch of Smartshot Pictures.

Marie-Christine Laflamme made her directorial debut in the music
video business, with the band
The Spleen. Her interest in film started in Cegep, when she won a
contest for her first short film. She then moved to the United
Kingdom to pursue her dream, by attending the filmmaking and
directing program at New York Film Academy in London.
Marie-Christine directed multiple short films that impressed her
teachers and she won a grand, to direct a 35mm test commercial,
shot on a Panavision camera.
After New York Film Academy, she moved back to Montréal, where
she started her own production company, Smart Shot Pictures and
decided to direct a short film to make her mark, before meeting
The Spleen.
With her knowledge and experience from filmmaking, she brings
the band into a fantastic and emotional universe, which connects
perfectly with the melody of the song, Get over you.
Allan has a solid experience from the Danish filmindustry, working as camera assistant on features, shorts and commercials and has worked a lot with Lars von Triers production company, Zentropa. After a one year filmmaking program at New York Film Academy in London, United Kingdom, Allan moved to Montreal to pursue a professional career in filmmaking as a camera assistant, with the desire to work as a director of photography in the future, after enough experience is gained.
Allans function at Smartshot Pictures is mainly equipment responsible and visual consultant. He is also the head of post-production.
